Title: MAME Output Control
Post by: liche on November 04, 2002, 10:01:22 am
Does the code in MAME support output control either via the parallel port, serial port, etc... to provide output signals which could be used to trigger the Player 1 / Player 2 pushbutton illumination when credits are issued etc....????

For example, put in one credit, and the player 1 pushbutton will flash / light-up etc...

Thanks

I'm not going to say it doesn't or couldn't with a little hacking... but SOME games in MAME use the keyboard lights (num lock caps lock etc) to indicate sorta what you are talking about... Especially the old Atari and atari vector games.

If you use an IPAC, there's a harness available to do just that... light some led's for num/caps lock...   or you can run extensions from a keyboard for those leds as well...

*shrug*

hope that helps...
