Hi!
Normaly you would take long pushbuttons and the wood-switchholders for 3/4" thickness.
As my panel is only 1/2" (including lexan), I wonder if this combination still would work, or must I use the long pushbuttons with the metal-switchholders? How much thinner are the wood-holders, only have the metal-ones lying around here, and no long buttons to test?
By the way, any idea where I can get some leafswitchtes except the RealBobRobert - payment would be very difficult for me 'cause he doesn't accept creditcards and I'm located in germany.

If you like translucent leaf switch buttons like I do then order from these guys. http://www.centsibleamusements.com/
I ordered them online using my credit card and received them in three days. Probably about a week for you. Im not sure if they have solid color leaf buttons or not. You could e-mail them and ask. I'd go with the translucent ones. They look very cool with a light under them. 8)

The blue translucent ones would be cool for the start-buttons, so I could flash them on certain games when credits are inserted! :D
But I also need solid ones, try to make it more authentic looking.
I finished the panel below, but the only thing a little disturbing is that these are not leaf-buttons in it, they just look much more classic on such an old game.

Two things.

one of the cheapest places to get ANY arcade parts. He may have parts not listed on his page...
Second, rumor time:) I was talking with Kelsey (oscarcontrols). There is a metal leafswitchswitch buttons holder that uses microswitches. He is looking into maybe producing replicas. I did give him the idea of putting a LED holder on it and he said that would be easy. So what the status on that is I have no clue. If you are interested in something like that I'd PM or email kelsey about it. I'm sure he'd like to see if people would actually buy it.

Well, as stated before, Bob Roberts makes it really hard for me to deal with him - overseas without creditcard is always kind of problem and quite expensive if I send him a postal money order.
If he would accept creditcard or PayPal, I would buy everything from him! :( Of course, he has his reasons and that's okay (read them on his homepage) - just this doesn't help me either.
There are always some on Ebay, but unfortunately mostly the wrong colors. In germany I only found one who sells some red ones for pinballs.
This replica sounds interesting, any pictures of how this shall look like? Though I also like the non-clicking of the leaf-buttons (By the way, I'll also make a panel with microswitches), so this would be a good solution for the button feel, but not for the clicking.

The original brackets are hard to find, you seem them on ebay like once a year.
It's just a metal bracket that holds a leaf switch buttons. But it uses a miscroswitch instead of a leafswitch. It's not that complicated and small. HowardC has one, maybe he can send you a pic.

Suzo (UK) sell leaf buttons, both translucent and standard, and they accept payment by credit card. However they're not particularly cheap.
You could also try the Dutch branch of Suzo, however I understand that they're a bit funny about selling to non-trade customers.

Thanx, I'll try to contact Suzo again - believe it or not, they even have a german office! :)
I completely forget them - I'll try to talk with them on the phone, maybe I'm lucky. Emails from non-trade customers are completely ignored by them, but the guy on the phone was very friendly. Possibly he though I'm a trade customer though, who knows?
Didn't they had the same catalogue as Wico?
