Hi. Thanks for looking.
Now that my cocktail cab is done http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,27612.0.html
I can get back to work on my other project Nebulous. This will be another custom cab inspired by the mortal combat shape. I plan to cover it in telescope photos of nebulae for side art etc. Anyway this is the rough draft for my CP. Any obvious problems I'm missing?

IMO, that 4 way is going to get in your way of using the left 8way and buttons. I'm sure you could use it that way, but it seems like it'd get uncomfortable QUICK.
I'd put the 4 way to the left of the 2p 8way, or up above the trackball perhaps.

Good point. I'm glad I posted. Back to the drawing board. I will make a few mockups with scrap lumber. It would be nice to get the trackball in the middle of that image. Will play with it some more.

one other thing I didn't even think of before is the fact that your trackball probably can't be mounted where it currently is. Most panels with a front overhang like yours actually has a rectangular box. What I mean is the area of your CP which has the angled sides and front will actually have nothing underneath it. Therefore, you can't put any controls there.
This is not the case of course if your entire CP box followed the angles, but most I've seen do not.
