Title: Is this a good price for this?
Post by: stellarola on March 05, 2005, 11:02:13 pm
Hey this guy I'm talking to is selling a Die Hard Arcade cabinet with a nice clean 25'' inch monitor for $325. It includes everything but game boards he said. So just wanting to know if that is a good price also check out Klov for the pics of the cabinet. Thanks guys!

It really depends on the condition and if it is the style of cab you like. If you want a 3D Die Hard cab. The mobo and cart (Sega ST-V) will run you about $150.

I'd say it isn't a good deal, not without the game boards. Besides, the Die Hard Arcade cab is a pile of (*&!$#!(. The coin insert is on the CP, and if you are looking to MAME it, you could do better.

My advice: Go to www.namcoarcades.com , click on the "search for used arcade games" button, punch in your location and look at what they have to offer. You'll find cabs with 25" monitors WITH game boards (that you can sell to recoup costs) for about what that guy wants for that shell. Maybe even less. Here is an example of what they have:

NBA Showtime- 195$
Gauntlet Legends 395$ DEDICATED
WWF Royal Rumble 295$
Tekken Tag Tournament 195$
Die Hard Arcade 195$ (with gameboards!)
and a lot more. Check there before you give that guy your money.
