I'm sure many of you guys have exprienced this. you open mamewah and you have 8 different versions of the same game (for example S.T.U.N. Runner).. In Mame32 , if you go to the game under "Working", only one instance of the game is shown. Is there a setting/option that allows this in MAMEWAH?

I am not too sure of this right now since I am not in front of mine but I believe there is a setting in the config file that says display_clone_info (0-no, 1-yes). It is in your emuname-?.ini file

I am not sure, but I used the Good Utilities to divide up the different roms. i.e. USA, Japan, hacks, bad files etc. I made one master folder with what I wanted, and it cut down the repeats all together.

make sure you have a catver.ini file ( http://www.mameworld.net/catlist/ ) setup in mamewah. This will help you generate filtered lists. Check the Mamewah documentation on how to get the "generate filtered list" option to show up. I think you have to create an empty file in your ini directory called mame-1.ini.
I use the mamewah interface to generate a list that:
Includes clones only if they're better than the parent
Removes Adult Games
Removes Lightgun games.
Removes Games marked as Unplayable
Removes Quiz games that are in Chinese
Removes Mahjong games
I also have another list that only shows Adult games.

Make sure you set the "catver_ini_file" key in your mame.ini in the ini folder of mamewah.
Then create a blank ini file in that directory. Called "mame-1.ini" if it's not already there. Then in mamewah select that list (it'll probably be blank). *YOU CANNOT GENERATE CUSTOM LISTS OVER YOUR MAIN LIST* so you have to change lists first.
Then in "Generate Filtered List" there should be an option to filter based on category.
