I am not a video-games profi but I have since 2002 an arcade cabinet at home with mame and arcadeVGA. It always worked fine even if I had to tune the vertical frequence pot for each game.
A few month ago I used the mainboard from my cabinet to assemble a desktop computer, and the cabinet remained unused for some 4 months. Now I fitted a new motherboard in the cabinet, without any other change, to find that the monitor does have probably a problem. The mtc-9000 has 6 controls on a small pcb inside the cabinet, 4 of them are working, I mean the picture changes when I move them, but 2 has absolutely no effect, they are labeled on the pcb as H. Phase and and V. shift.
I remember that previously I obtained a good picture using those controls.
The best adjustement I could obtain looks like in the pic attached.
I found a manual, a schematic and I probably can change some caps, would a cap kit solve the problem?

Do you have the older version of the avga? with 2 vga connectors?
IF so make sure your monitor is plugged into the lower connector.
Later,

Yes it is the old one and the cable is plugged is in the lower connector, it is connected to a j-pac as you can see in the pics. By the way shouldn't the two leds on the j-pac (sync ok, sync in) lit if the frequence is correct? They doesn't, maybe is not the monitor but either the j-pac or the vga arcade are broken ...
In the next days I will try with a real jamma pcb...
There is a difference from ordering a cap kit or buying the same caps in the electronic shop around the corner?
