Title: Anyone with a truck in San Jose/SF Bay area?

I have an opportunity to buy a cab locally (about an hour drive from San Jose where I live), but don't have access to a truck (renting is to expensive).  If anyone in the San Jose/SF Bay area is willing to help me I can offer to pay for gas, fast food, and witty conversation (well geeky arcade related conversation)...

Uhaul has a truck for rental 19.99 + tax for a day.  These are weekday rates (i didn't check weekends).

You do have to pay for the gas you use, but I think it's still a cheap way to get a reliable rental.  Just don't sign for insurance.   Your insurance will more than likely cover a rental (Geico does).

Yeah, I checked UHaul, you forgot they also charge .99 per mile on top of the $19.99.  And my round trip will be just over 100 miles...so nope not worth it.

Hey dek, whats your weekend look like?  I finally herd back from him (ignore my last PM to you) and said I can come up this weekend to pick it up.   

Gozur, I finally saw your posts on klov about this same cab (on CL)   ;) sorry man!  But I'd rather take your universal cab over the astro city any day! ;D

I work Friday-Tue night so if he is down for me picking it up at 7 am on Saturday morning, I can do that.

Dek, thanks again for helping me transport the cab.  It will be another month of cleaning and setting up before I'll be able to play it, but I'm hoping it turns out as nice as the exceleena.  ;D
