Post by: sodapopinski on March 01, 2005, 05:10:25 pm
I just recieved my happs package, pulled out the marque retainer and knocked over a glass of water into my T.V.(which was on and also the TV to use in my machine) Now its done.  It attempts to turn on but fails. I'm trying to dry it out, but i'm thinking dump.

stick one of those room dehydrator things next to it. and throw a fan on it. Sometimes It can just be a short.

If it was on at the time, I'm willing to bet it's toasty.

Well you need to first make sure it is completely dry.  Since it was just water, that is a good thing.  If it is completely dry and will not turn on, you gotta think:  Is it worth fixing?

Like i said, the picture is back. The sound is toast though. If a turn on the volume, I get nothing. As well, once lleft on, after a while it will resonate a strange sound on and off. I suppose it will work fine in a cab, no need for the t.v's volume. As far as using it now for a t.v, done. Do you think replacing the the speakers will fix this?
