Centipede doesn't use a joystick it uses a trackball. Centipede sideart is reproed and available from several locations, you are going to want to get the REAL STUFF and not a print from mamemarquees.com (they are more for custom graphics jobs, the real prints from the repro places are much better).

Centipede uses a 19" monitor.

Your first step should actually be acquiring the correct cabinet, any converted Centipede, Arabian, Dig Dug, or Kangaroo cabinet will be suitable (these vary ever so slightly in design, but they essentially look the same and the parts swap between cabinets).

You need a 2 1/4" white trackball.
1 white leaf-switch pushbutton.
2 black cone red lit Atari buttons
Black vinyl laminate from PartsExpress.com for the lower front fo the cab.

Search for mmmmmPeanutbutter's Centipede project.

Hey... thanks for the mention... if only I could get it done!!

Here is the post. (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,21390.0.html)

I got my side art from arcadeshop.com (http://www.arcadeshop.com/).  But I think you can get it cheaper from phoenix arcade (http://www.phoenixarcade.com/) (but they were out of stock when I ordered).

Parts express for the black vinyl as mentioned.

I got my cpo from classicarcadegrafix (http://www.classicarcadegrafix.com/).  Say what you want about them, but I liked them.

If you have any questions about the cab, let me know (put up a post and drop me a PM - I don't get to browse as much as I would like anymore).
