Free for the taking.

Im going to Ft. Myers Beach in 2 weeks. Are you anywhere near there. If so i'll gladly take it and restore it for my collection.

Derek,
If you can get it, it is yours. It has already spent 2 years in my garage while I attempted to collect parts for it.
I hope you get it. It is WAAAAY too nice to be destroyed.

So is this still available?
What city is it in?

Shhhh, I wouldn't really destroy it, I just figured this would get those that had interest in it to reply. If nobody takes it, I'm going to restore it. I just won't be able to finish it for some time. Starting off with the cosmetic repairs, and then on to the expensive internal fun stuff. I already found replacement marquee's and CPO overlays. I can touch up the few marks on the sideart easily enough and replace the T-molding while I am at it. One sad thing I noticed while going over the cab the other night though, it has some water damage on both sides. Goes up a good 6 inches from the bottom on both sides. This will be kind of tough to repair. I guess I would have to cut out new wood and replace the bottom edges and then paint the graphics back on. (see, I've already spent tons of time thinking about how to fix er up)
Do you have pictures of the cab you can post so folks can see it?

Thanks for posting the pictures.
Say, what is that I see in the bottom picture, up where the marquee would go? That wouldn't be the control panel would it? ;) ;D
I'll let you know where she ends up or (if nobody takes the cab) if I keep her and restore her. I'll have to take some pics with my non-digital camera and scan them to share.
Thanks man!

It is a control panel, but unfortunately it is for a cabaret Tempest and not an upright Tempest.
I grabbed it from a guy thinking it was the right one. When I got home, I knew immediately that it would not fit.
Anyway, if anyone needs a cabaret Tempest control panel ... I have one. :P

All right, I'll bite. I think you've found a new home for the cab if it's still available. I'll be coming from Safety Harbor, probably can't get up there until this weekend. I just need to double check with my friend to make sure he is still wants a cab, but I'm going to say at this point, it's 90% sure we'll take it. I'll PM you tomorrow to get directions.
