Going to build a cocktail table with a 19" monitor. The choice of monitor is confusing the hell out of me. Thought I found a great deal on a Hybrid VisionPro which is more or less plug and play., but after some research realized is was standard CGA and would need a JPAC to connect it. I went and visited ultimarc and seen a cable that I assume will let me connect the monitor directly to my videocard. I know any new video card will not support the 15 khz rate and will most likely fry my monitor. I guess I would solve this problem by simply purchasing a cable and a AVGA card, correct. Or should I go for the VisionPro for about 279.00. What is the best quality vs. price setup up.......
AVGA, arcade monitor, cable.......89 + 179 + 6 ........roughly 276..00
how is windows quality
( does new avga supply +5 ? ) ....if not......89 + 179 + 16 292.00
VisionPro Hybrid 279.00
VisionPro Hybrid w/ AVGA 380ish.00 ish
Which way do I go......recommendations
Also, what about this, mounting looks like it might be difficult but the price is right....I think....it is local to me.....

Im happy with my 19" and arcadevga. You can make the cable yourself easily to hook them together and save yourself $20.

You will be happy with the avga card. Simplifies things drastically. Trust me I played around with advmame and trident card for ages and never really got things where I was happy with them. So when the avga card came out I got one. Then another....
I remember the wait when it was first announced that ultimarc was making a custom card and I remember laughing to myself. the joke was on me :)
