Title: Need highres CPO/sideart for Centipede
Post by: Carsten Carlos on October 29, 2002, 07:05:25 am
As I wanna make my controlpanels look more authentic, I'm searching for a highres-art from the Centipede-controlpanel.

Anyone found something?
I had a look at all the popular places mentioned here, but didn't had luck with this one.

Sideart would be nice, too. I know that you could get the whole sideart from Centipede, but I would like to do something on my own, while featuring the big grashopper shown on the side of the cab.
For sideart, Milipede would help, too - the CPO of Milipede was rather simple and wouldn't look that good, I guess.

You said you checked all the regular places... did you miss the centipede cocktail control panel art at CAGA?

*Shrug* other than that, I got nothing...

good luck

Yep, I know this place, probably the best for original artwork, only wish there would be more :o

Unfortunately the cocktail wouldn't help that much, but thanx anyway - if I can't find something nearer, maybe this could be a start for a redesign, at least I got some color-values this way.

I have a centipede cab that I am restoring.
If someone is a photoshop wizard, I could take some pics with my digital camera and send them to you.
The CP needs only miner touchup and the side art a little more.
also let me know if you want it in one photo or in pieces to be stitched together using software. All I ask is that if the results are decent that you send me a copy.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but maybe you can use it for something.

It is a high resolution scan of a Centipede flyer.

Got this one, too - this flyer was the reason I came up with my idea of making my cab a "Centipede look-a-like"!  :D

Hi Larry - whee, you were the one that gave me all these measurements for my cab-plans, right?! I still owe you that much!

I can't call myself a photoshop-wizard (so far I use Corel's Photopaint -it sucks with stability, but Photoshop is quite complicate to get used with), but I'd give it a try.

At least with the controlpanel there might be a chance of rebuilding the graphics as it features relatively simple patterns - if you could send me a picture (all in one photo would be easier for me), I'd give it a try. Perfect would be with the buttons taken out - trackball can be in as it doesn't cover anything from the artwork as the buttons do.

As for the sideart - I fear that even a very high highres digicam wouldn't be enough to catch enough pixels to print it in a bigger size.
