I know you can by the entire optical PCB, but I was talking about just the optical transistor.

I can't find the source for those.

See, the optical PCB's cost about $12 ea.  I think those transistors cost about $0.50

Anybody ever Fix the optical pcb and have tips?

You can make one fairly easy.  Check out Oscar's website, or maybe it was ultimarc,  I know one of them has a tutorial on how to make one.

It depends on the optics of the trackball to work.

Mostly people just replace them when the go bad, but man, it has to be easy to fix it.
I coudn't find a schematic parts list for the board.
