Title: Arcade Character ideas

I'm looking to design some custom side panel, CP, and marquee artwork. But, I want it based on some arcade characters. Ok, here's the details:

I'm building this cab for my sister. There are four siblings: 2 boys 2 girls. I wanted each family member "represented" by an arcade character. I'm a big Tron fan, I'll prob use the graphic of Tron holding the disc over his head to represent me. My one sister is a Ms. PacMan junkie, so that's a no brainer. The next youngest sister will probably be Lara Croft or some other bad-ass. My dilemma is my brother - the youngest of the 4 of us.

He's a computer geek like me. He never got into games much. I'm thinking of something "techy" to represent him, and all I can come up with is like a Battle Mech, or a Berzerk robot.

Are there any classic MAME game characters that would fit the bill?

I was just going to suggest a Berzerk robot until I got to your last line and noticed you were already thinking that way.

I don't know how your art skills are, but you go aim toward replicating this Star Wars poster with your characters. It popped into my head when you mentioned the Tron image. It reminds me so much of this poster.

Replace Luke with Tron, Leia with Lara Croft, Ms Pac for 3PO, Berzerk robot for R2...Could even find something to replace the ships(Space Invaders), the Death Star, and Vaders Head(Journey...lol)

Just a thought.

Only picked this image since the Tron matched Luke nicely.

What a great idea! Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm looking for, except maybe a better suggestion for the Berzerk robot. Something that more closely matches his "personality". I was also thinking, if he was a cartoon, I could see like Dexter's Lab or some evil scientist. But I need an arcade character, not a tv show.

Dr. Micro
Tricky Doc
vs. Dr. Mario

Those are some scientist/doctor ones....I'm sure there are more but these jumped out while thumbing through the lists.

Dr. Mario would be the most well known.

Maybe someone else can come up with a better character.

Great ideas, thanks. I'm thinking Megaman might actually be the best fit afterall.
