Hey all,
I think I've finally decided that it's time to build a new cabinet that's 4 player and move it out on the porch or in the basement as we have no real room for it in the other parts of the house.
But, does anyone have any tips or bits of wisdom to bestow apon me in the process of making this? I'm curious a s to the final cost of wood, type of wood to use, the best way to keep the electronics inside organized while the move is done, and the over all time it takes to build one of these things. If I can persuade him, a friend of ours will be cutting the wood. I have all the time in the world to put this together, so time is no factor.
Thanks for any insite :)
Neil

make sure your sprinklers aren't near the machine and you live in an area that doesn't rain unless you have a thick cover.

avoid leaving oily rags in piles on the floor while youre building your cabnet.

Regardless if you have all the time in the world... it matters more how much money you want to spend.
Also recommend purchasing "Project Arcade" book. It's the BYOAC bible.

The best tip I can give you for a 4-P cabinet is to make sure it fits through ALL the doors it needs to on the way to wherever it's going.
There's several people around here who have built 4-P cabs, only to have them somewhere they didn't want them because they couldn't get through the last door, or down a set of stairs, etc...
