Hello!
I live in Italy and this is the my first attempt to build an arcade joystick. I'm looking for components (joystick, buttons...) and I found the good HappyControls. I'd like to know which shipping method is the less expensive and if their service is good as they say.
Thanks!

I had no problem ordering from them and the parts arrived quickly. But I live in the US. I don't know what shipping is best for overseas.

HellO!
Thanks for your quick reply... which postage method you chose? How much it was? Thanks!

I shipped it standard ground and it arrived in a week and that was during christmas time so it would have probably even been faster during the regular part of the year.

I live in the UK and have recently bought items from Happ Controls Europe. I found their service to be excellent and would highly recommend them. I ordered about

I live in northern Alberta, Canada and just placed and received an order with Happ. I ordered Sunday, October 20th and received my parts on Friday, October 25th. So I'd have to say I was impressed that I got anything from Stateside that quickly. But next time I will definitely order everything at once to cut down on costs. My order was about $58 US, plus $20 US shipping. Then I had to pay a $34 CAD charge when the package got to my door for duty taxes. So my $92 CAD order cost me another $66 CAD in taxes and shipping.

Hello!
@NickS: Wow, Happy in Europe? Sounds good (for taxes too!)... how can I order from them? Placing an order from www.happycontrols.com? They simply undestand I live in the UE and pass my order to their UE associate? Or is there a website for European store?
Thanks again!

As you live in Italy you should obviously order from Happ (UK) rather than Happ (USA). The shipping will be cheaper and you won't pay inport duty because both Italy and the UK are part of the EEC.
However I would consider ordering from www.industrias-lorenzo.com situated in Spain. They manufacture most of the joysticks and buttons sold by Happs. They are hard work to deal with but their prices are much cheaper than Happs. I placed a small order with them and had it delivered to a relative of mine who lives in Spain in order to save on postage costs.
There is also a parts manufacturer situated in Italy (www.alberici.net) but I don't have any experience of them.

Hello!
@GrassHoper: Thanks for your reply... as said in a previous post I can't find how to order from HC UK... maybe they have another website instead of www.happycontrols.com?
For Alberici.Net: I previously contacted them via e-mail but they sell only large quantities, not just few parts to build one joystick.
Industrias-Lorenzo sounds great... but I hadn't find informations about ordering and prices on their website... have I to contact them via mail just for a price list?
Thanks again!

Hello
My last question for tonight... do you know how can I "understand" if a product sold by HC is made and sold also by IndustriasLorenzo? They have different names/part numbers :-(
thanks!

Happ(UK) and Happ(USA) share the same website. However you can email happ(UK) on europe@happcontrols.com
You will have to email IL to get their prices. However from memory their pushbuttons cost 0.90 euros. My queries were dealt with by someone called Cristina.
They use different part numbers to Happs however you shouldn't have any problems getting the right parts as their website has good pictures.

Hello!
Thanks again... you're very quick :-)
I sent two e-mails, one for HappControls and the other for IndustriasLorenzo. Maybe in a way or another I'll get what I need to build my personal joystick :-)
bye

Email Karen Charlton at Happ Controls Europe at karen.charlton@happcontrols.co.uk . They are very helpful and can tell you the procedure. You can use the online catalogue at Happcontrols.com as your guide and email them the item numbers you are after.

Hello!
Thanks for your reply: I emailed Happ Controls Europe and they answer... wow shipping charges are very expensive from UK to Italy (20pounds=30euro min!)... I think I'll try to get something from local coin-op repairers...
tnx

It would depend on how much you were ordering as to whether or not
