Title: ArcadeVGA + Dell Dimension XPS
Post by: kton25 on February 22, 2005, 10:18:38 am
Hello all.

I installed my ArcadeVGA (Radeon 9XX0) card into my Dell Dimension XPS and the monitor is apparently not receiving a signal.  I have read many posts about chipset compatibility (more specifically, chipset/AGP x.x spec compatibility)  and was just wondering if anybody was able to use this card with a Dell XPS.

I am using a 27" Betson Imperial Multisync monitor.

Thanks.

Do you have onboard video enabled? If you do, disable it through the BIOS.  ;)

This model doesn't have onboard video.  Thanks anyway, though.  I am in contact with Andy at Ultimarc and he mentioned somebody else had this problem with a Dell that was made around the same time as mine (circa 2003).

I'm just trying to list/eliminate possibilities.  The card may simply be defective or (long shot), there may be an issue with the intel i875 chipset.  I'm going to try this out using another computer tonight.
