One of the more common conflicts with Dreamcast's and aracades are the D-pad's and analog Sticks.... what if you could use both, without adding a seccont joystick per player? well.. what if we could make Dreamcast's Analog Bypass-able by adding keyboard like arrows for the D-pad and while using the Joystick for analog... anyone got any Ideas or comments on what could be used that is simular to keyboard arrows?
I always found myself using the arrow keys to move and play Arcade games such as Marvel vs capcom on my Computer (and comfortly). why not on arcade? It would bring a complete closure to the conflict and make it complete!

yeah, but for my cabinet I want Analog to be wired to the joystick...but i would like a keyboard arrow* like secondary for the other games that do not use analog... so either way it is compatable,

I still don't know why you want to do this instead of just using two joysticks per player, but you could easily get small square pushbuttons like Happs has here (http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/49057700.htm).

a D-PAD is great on a handheld controller
but i think it would be a lot harder to control one on an arcade control panel
i think you're much better off using two sticks
and if you don't like the idea of two big joysticks for each player, maybe you could use some sort of mini stick for the second control
or a stick with a hat on it
