Hi
I'm in the process of purchasing all the HW i need to convert my first MAME cab. Got most of what I need now but was wondering whether or not I need to buy an Argade VGA card?. My Cab will be running MAME and several console and 8 bit emu's via the MameWah front end.
I have a GeForce3 Ti200, a Geforce4 Ti4600 and an old GeForce2 GTS card laying about. Would any of these be suitable for connecting to a hantarex arcade monitor?, bearing in mind I know nothing about how to convert signals etc.
Its not exactly a major purchase but if I can use hardware I've already got I can make a start traight away.

An arcade monitor is a different frequency than a PC monitor. You will need a card or equipment that can handle that The ArcadeVGA card is an out of the box solution to do just that. You don't "need" it, but it will make your life a whole lot simpler.
The alternative requires specialized knowledge, equipment and software.
