Title: Question about mouse buttons on CP
Post by: the3eyedblindman on February 17, 2005, 06:42:34 pm
I am going to put 2 mouse buttons on my control panel, I was just wondering how you wire these up... I know you dont use an ipac as that is for keyboard inputs, are there special inputs on the optipac that you wire the mouse buttons to? I am not sure if the optipac is strictly for the trackball or if you also use it to wire mouse buttons. ???

[Visiting the opti-pac site probably would have answered your questions, but] yes, there are inputs on the Optipac for buttons. I don't know how many... At least 2.

Thanks RayB, I just found it on the FAQ at ultimarc, I was asking because It didnt say anything on the main page of the optipac where its telling you all about it, just found it though, sorry. "What about mouse buttons?
Four inputs are provided for mouse buttons, two for each port. These inputs can be wired up together with I-PAC button inputs so that control panel buttons can perform dual function: mouse buttons and normal key-type inputs. So you could use your trackball as a mouse with two of the control panel buttons working as mouse buttons and also have these buttons work in games via the I-PAC. "
