Here's the deal. I am looking at building a jukebox out of a former video slotmachine I have....but I don't feel like buying a keyboard encoder. Can any of the jukebox software be run in DOS with just teh PC joystick interface. Basically I would hack buttons to the joyport instead the keyboard.
Any ideas?
If I can't do this, then I will just buy an encoder.....I just thought I would give it a shot.

All I really want is a basic set up. Care to help walk me through (via PM is fine)? I'm going to try and get this going over the weekend.

I'm sure I've got a game pad or stick around somewhere that can be sacrificed. I'm at work now, so I'll check when I go home this evening. Thanks for your help!! ;D

For reference, the 100K resistors are Radio Shack part number 271-1347

Here's the donor, top and bottom side.

Resistors already in place on the pcb.

Well, it turned out that buttons 3 & 4 were actually just "turbo" versions of 1 & 2, 5 & 6 did nothing at all. Was working pretty good until something crossed up and it kept inputting button 1 over and over.....then it did nothing after that . Guess I burned up that old gamepad!
Oh well, I see how it works now so I'll just go pick up another cheap pad or stick and wire it up. (Originally I had been working with v2.41....that's why I didn't see any place to input with a gamepad)
Thanks Chris!!
