I think I have a chance to get a Wells-Gardner U3000 27" monitor in a MKII cabinet for ~250 bucks which seems like a pretty smoking deal to me.

I believe they will be something like my EYGO 27" monitor... but not sure. Eygos are b grade vga monitors with 640x480 max resolution.
They are better the SVGA monitors because they have the scanlines built in... But they have very exact colors.
Goto oscars site and look at the monitor comparison http://www.oscarcontrols.com/monitors.shtml and look at #1, #5 and #7
Notice how the #1 (which should be similar to what your looking at) looks much closer to a SVGA (#5) then to a real arcade crt. Look at the color depth in the bushes. Sure they look sharper... but the original games didn't look that sharp..
Anyway, I would try for a true arcade crt 15hz before buying another Eygo myself. Heck, I would rather go with a 19" crt then 27" SVGA monitor... But I have both in the same room.... and 27" are too big to play robotron without adding a bezel..

Thanks for the reply I did some searching and like you said its almos halfway between a regular pc monitor and a arcade monitor.
Basically I have found 2 pretty good deals in the last week I can either get a williams cabinet with run and gun 2 in it with a 25" arcade monitor fully working and in decent condition.
