I need Analog Dreamcast Controllers that plug into dreamcast, but converts to Cherry switch's... or to find out how to Hack analog myself... ^.^
-
There was someone selling them a while ago, but I think he ran out of controllers. Get it touch with him. If you send him the controllers, I bet he'd do it for you. See this thread - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,28955.0.html
If you are serious about hacking them yourself, here are some resources to get you started. I don't think it is very hard to do.

Once you solder on the wires.. you can connect those directly to the cherry switches. It's just like extending the buttons. Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you need to do a lot more reading to become more familiar with the ideas of hacking the pads. Or just buy them and take the lazy way out, like I probably would :)

lmao, yeah but I bet you never thought of this... what about the Directional Pad? + Analog? you cant wire both onto a joystick... >.<
-
::) I'm a relative newbie, and even I know that this is possible. You're not the first one to have thought of it. Here's a hint: top of page, hit "search". Type in "dreamcast analog". There are pages of hits, with people who have thought of it, done it, and written out instructions. Hope that helps.

Hack one joystick up to the D-Pad, and the other to the analog stick...

Yeah thats a great Idea :o what about the 2nd player? :'(
-
You either have 2 joysticks per player or you just pick one. Most games will use the D-Pad so if I were you, I'd wire up the D-Pad only.
For those (few?) games that use analog only... you just wouldn't play those on your cab. Those are the two options you'd have.
