Okay, just saw a commercial on TV for Monster Jam (monster truck racing) and that it's coming to our area this weekend. The kids wanted to go, the ticket prices are cheap, I'll bring them, right?
Well, the AD says $5 kid seats. Ticketmaster.com is tacking on $6.75 "convenience charge" to a $5 seat! How sh tty is THAT? Because of Ticketmaster, a $40 afternoon is an $80 afternoon!

if you go down there the night of the the event you should be able to buy tix at the BO with no SC, right?
it was just in st louis and gravedigger got broken...it probably won't be ready for your show.

Yeah, YOU bring YOUR kids to a big exciting event without having tickets. YOU tell YOUR kids that you can't get in and break their heart. I don't do that to my kids.
Besides, there are at least 5 Gravediggers. I've seen them parked side by side.

yep, TM are bishes..
Goto the vendor of where ever its at, go BUY tickets from them..
Wish I could... it's a hike, and their box office is only open from 9:30am-5pm. I work from 8:30-5:30.
Hrm... I should just come in to work late tomorrow, head over there first. What the hell, that's only two hours driving, right? :P Yay, $15 in gas. Massachusetts sucks.
-
not to say anything but if you think the monster truck rally will be sold out I dont know. I know it comes to KC everyonce in awhile and its not even close to being sold out.
-
try looking online to see if the place has a website , sometimes you can avoid ticketmaster and get it directly through them via CC on the site or via phone.

Already done, they are walkup box office or Ticketmaster only.
I'm seriously considering taking the drive in tomorrow morning.

$15 in gas beats $40 in service charges.
-
By less than $25 when you figure in the two hours' time it will take to go there before work. That's pretty much the only option aside from Ticketmaster, though.
-
Unless you guys have a seriously small arena and this kind of thing NEVER comes around the monster truck shows never sell out.
It is always wise to get a tickets in advance though... We missed the WWF once by trying to just walk up. :'(
I really wanted to see Macho Man vs. Honky Tonk in the cage too! :-\
-
If I were going with only adults, I'd say that's an option. I'm not taking a 3 and a 5 year old over there with a chance that they will not get in. That's just mean.
-
Yeah. I was 11 at the time. Quite a disappointment. :P
-
MLB just bought tickets.com in order for them to control the service charges.
-
Eh, I live in MA, I know better than to bother with MLB tickets. Fenway is a damn nightmare to get to and from that it would not worth it for free.
-
I'd just go in late. I'm always late to work anyhow.
10:00
Boss: Where were you?
Me: I had something to do.
Boss: Oh.
I stay late enough to "do my time", but nobody knows when I'll actually get there. :) I hate mornings.
