Title: Keeping a "record"?
Post by: j123vt_99 on February 14, 2005, 10:16:10 pm
I know there are some games like NBA Jam that allow a user to enter their initials when they play, so that when they log in at a later time their history and fav team are saved. Does MAME allow for this? It is different from saving info to hiscore.dat

That kind of stuff is saved to NVRAM on the real games, which MAME takes care of. After you play a game for the first time, check the nvram folder, you should see a new file there, if the game you played used nvram.
