I am intrested to use Kymaera for dmame pure dos version.
i configure Kymaera Dos as written in its documents.I dono what resulotion and colour dept to be set to run directly on Dos.
i tried it with 640X480 and 16bit color,but when i restart my computer at Dos promt and run Kymaera it showed some page fault errors.It means that only Kymaera Dos is not same as kymaera windows.In window verion Kymaera must execute itself while it is configure or not.
any way, I am using a compiled patch version of Dmame and it is quite good when i check it on command line.
i am unable to find a gimelist as well as Kymaera does not starts in Dos.
any help.

Currently you have to do your configuring within Windows. PacManFan hopes to have a DOS config took available eventually.

Yeah I know that Mr.steve has not release Kymaera's Dos configuration.I configure it with windows version on windows98 and then run it at Dos,Except sound card i already set every thing in (autoexet.bat and config.sys) In my case i have a problem with list generation in kymaera.My compiled patch Dmame9.0 is working quite good with arcadeOs.
Kymaera will be my first choise due to its some nice features in Dos.

Ah. It could be anything. Kymaera is quirky. You could have a path mislabeled and it will crash.

Peale,I am not sure that if we directly configure Kymaera with Dmame with in windows environment while i don't have command line version MAME.exe to first set with Kymaera and then just replace MAME.exe to Dmame.exe and Kymaera.exe to Ky_Dos.exe .
I can do this but i don't think that my Dmame contains rom names and roms information are similer with Mame(command line).
I had set every path but not getting a gamelist yet.
I got a listinfo file which is just as Dmame.dat in kymaera folder.
One more file which is usefull to generate a gamelist is dmame.xml
or *.xml,i don't no how to produce this XML file to load at the time of generation of Masterlist.

Check *every* path. Esp. the artwork paths in mame.emu. If one is missing, or wrong, it'll crash.
You *can* use dmame to create the lists.

Setting up the master list is tricky; took me a couple times. You *will* need the ini files referenced in the generation tool Forget what it is, I don't have Ky on this system.

To clarify,
The output from the mame.exe -listxml is not the same format that Kymaera uses for it's xml lists. You need to use the list generation tool along with catver.ini and gameplay.ini to generate 1 or more gamelists from the listxml or listinfo mame output.
I know it's a little confusing, I should probably change kymaera's .xml list file extension to be .lst or something.
