I asked this within a thread a long time ago and can't find it so I'll start a topic.
I want a startup screen for win98 that has the "blocks" like a test screen. If it changed colors it would be even better than a static block image, but I could modify it myself if needed. Right now I just need the "basic" screenshot with all the blocks. I can't find one on google images for some reason... :-[

but you'll need to resize it to the wonky windows startup screen size.

Hi Cooter,
That's a cool idea.
I made this from a Pacman startup.

Yeah, fredster is closer to what I'm looking for. I might be able to work from there. Instead of the animation "bar", windows can cycle through a color change over the entire image. So If I make each of the squares a different color, I can tell windows to cycle those colors and it will change the blocks. That should give it a close copy of what a real game does. I'll see what I can toss together.

That utility that Fredster pointed out is actually exactly what I needed.

:D
I like that better than mine. I made mine black and white.
I guess I'm still black and white vector in a High definition world....

lol.
Did you add a progress bar to yours? If you use shades of gray you could pull it off. Maybe a little circular type thing in a corner? That would keep it from looking "windowsy".
