Title: Suggestions for applying bezel sticker
Post by: mtalkington on February 11, 2005, 07:06:45 pm
I just received my bezel artwork (with a sticky, adhesive backing) from Mamemarquees.com (who always does a great job), and I'm curious what you guys think is the best way to apply it:

Is your bezel paper or plastic?

It's a real durable kind of coated paper. It's not going to be messed up on the outside of the glass, if that's what you're getting at. I just don't know which placement is better, or which placement is more "real"....like you would see on a real arcade cabinet

I have personally never seen anything stuck to the front side of the glass.  Either it was silk screened to the back, or it was taped to the bezel.  I would put it on the bezel to keep it from getting damaged.  You don't even have to peel the stuff off the back to make it stick.  Just lay it in there and sandwich it between the glass and your bezel.

Why can't you place the Mamemarquee bezel on top the outside glass???  My understanding is that it is laminated, so it should hold up under normal use.  Wouldn't it give more of the appearance of an old screened-on bezel???

Just curious........
