Title: Operation Wolf help
Post by: killbill on February 09, 2005, 02:36:19 pm
Hi,

I just recently purchased an OPeration Wolf cab.  The game worked, but the coin switches would not register credits.

So, I checked continuity all the way to the jamma plug.  All was good.  So, I removed the Jamma plug from the main board and bent a few of the connectors to make better contact.

I plugged it back in and fired up the machine.  \

Good news:  Coin slots works.

Bad News: The monitor has become just blue wavy lines.

This is the point when I did something really stupid.  I started messing with all of the picture adjusting knobs in the back of the monitor.  There are about eight of them.  I messed them all up.

Later I realized that by messing with the monitor wires that were running into the jamma plug, the picture would get a little better.

So, I'm going to pick up a new Jamma connector and re wire it; but that leaves the monitor and the adjustment knobs being so far out of whack that even if the jamma plug was working great, I still wouldn't see a clear picture.

Is there any way to reset the knobs on the back of the monitor, and start from scratch to adjust the picture.  I honestly messed with it for two hours and couldn't get close.

Any info is truly appreciated.
Thanks.

Move them all to the half-way point. You can probably go from there....
