Anyone using a u2 build from http://redump.emubase.de/index.php ??
I've tried the standard and P4 optimised build and they seem to exit MAME in some games after a while...if I set Pole Position 2 going and leave it in attract, it'll exit for no reason within 10 minutes every time.
NB this is from a command prompt, not thru a FE.
Anyone else?

Ok, I just ran 91u2 Athlon Version from Redump with Pole Position 2 in attract mode for over an hour - no problem at all.
I did have a problem a few days ago with Toobin crashing after a couple minutes and determined it was only when the Artwork was displayed... I never did determine why but setting artwork 0 solved the problem. I know you probably aren't running artwork with Pole Position 2 but maybe try artwork 0 just in case. Other than that, I can't offer much.

Thanks, I did turn artwork on the same day for Night Driver so I'll turn it off and see what happens. I should also study the error.log I suppose...
I've only tried it on one PC also, I should try it on some more.
It certainly wasn't limited to PolePos2, in fact, APB was another it happened in, which has the same res. as Toobin'. Sounds like that has a good chance of working, thanks again :)

I haven't had a massive amount of time to play around with this, but I still get the problem. I have tried turning artwork off and tried a different resolution and the problem still occurs...however it does not occur on my desktop so it must be specific to my cab.
Can anyone think of what might cause it to just quit? I still need to have a look in error.log but if anyone has any suggestions in the meantime...
