I swear I remember seeing, somewhere on the Internet, single SNES games packed onto a PS1 disk. For example, Earthworm Jim for the SNES on a bootable PS1 disk. And other games too.
That would imply that there's an SNES emulator for the PS1 and that someone took the time to pack an emulator and single ROM onto a bootable disk. I didn't think that the PS1 could manage something like that, but I seen what I seen.
That got me thinking recently, and my PS1 doesn't see much use anymore, so I went looking to see what was available in SNES and NES (or whatever) titles emulated on the PS1. And I can't even find an emulator out there let alone a packaged distribution like what I've seen.
What is it that I once saw?

store bought: atari 2600 and activision
I think phoenix is also emued on ps1

Maybe that Earthworm Jim I saw was emulated on the DC and not the PS1 after all. I can't for the life of me recall what I saw...

I tried 1.3.3 WIP1 last night right after I posted here. Many games worked great (Super Mario Bros for example.... and to be honest, that's enough for me). Some had problems drawing or tracking the background graphics. Some crashed or didn't load. And a very few hung the PS1 altogether. I just sort of tried a few games... I didn't get very comprehensive in my analysis.
There's supposed to be a compatibility list here:

... but it obviously loads up something different.
I found that Super Mario seemed to run a bit fast and the music seemed to be running too fast too.
I hear that there's an Atari 2600 emulator for the PS1. ;D

I am sure there is since I bought a store brand 2600 for it.
