Why don't you wait a little bit, eh?
-
I dunno, I think it maybe a little off topic for this forum thou... kinda between 3 of them... ^.^

Well, is your cabinet jamma ready?
If so its unplugging the connector from the board and plugging it into your dreamcast mgcd.
If not... then you probably want to get a new cabinet (or return the mgcd and hacking it yourself).

I recently got rid of my MGCD but I can tell you that the device works best and support the added features better withy NAOMI based games. The MGCD natively will support the JAMMA std for action buttons so 3 is your max without altering your harness, etc. Here is the pinout info for a couple more buttons:
A4 - Y Button
A5 - Left Trigger
A6 - Right Trigger
It should work basically in theory, but depending on what the controls are like for Jedi Power Battles it may work better if you were to not use the controller portion of the MGCD and go for a couple of hacked Dreamcast pads.
Hope this helps

hey i remmeber you, I read your post and it convinced me to buy one... ^.^ which was just last night.. lol... ^.^ anyway... I think I understand but whats this about hacked pads? and I never understood those Jamma Pinouts, -.-
-
The pinouts I am referring to are actually on the MGCD unit.
You can hack game pads and wire them to switches and joysticks. If I remember correctly Haruman or another user on this board will hack some game pads for you for about $25 a piece which is really pretty cheap for the work that it takes.
That help?

/it should be here in a week or two, but i need to Get My plan ready... I ned to know before I get it so I dont screw it up,

I agree with Ray. Once you have it in your hands, how it installs into your cab will very likely be obvious.

Ok, Ill repost this topic later when I have the all the equipment and components In front of me, I just wanted to know more about my options
, till later... cya... ^.^

Hmm, this game must be pretty good if you're building a dedicated cabinet for it.
Maybe I'll pick up a copy for my DC.
