Title: Website suggestion
Post by: neuromancer on October 21, 2002, 10:58:15 pm
As requested on the welcome page, here are two suggestions:

1) I would guess that most people come here for the message boards. Somehow, that link is always hard for me to find. Maybe it should be up in the top group or something.

2) I really appreciate having the page title be (Untitled). Using Mozilla, you can set up a single instance of the program with multiple tabs, and no one can tell what you're looking at, so please don't change that part.

Other than 1), I think the site is great. I usually pop in and check what's new and then come here... It might be nice if the "Mast" was a bit smaller, so the top "what's new" item would fit on the screen. I always have to scroll down to see if there is new news.

Maybe the second two paragraphs (From "Lost?" to "accordingly." could go on the "welcome and introduction" page. I've got the date on my computer too, so maybe we don't need that at the top of the news page either.

Oh, here's something. When I'm typing in this little box, and I get to the end of it, my cursor goes off the screen. I hit enter a couple times, and then my text scrolls back onto the screen.

Why didn't this go in the Board Discussion section ???.  Guess it won't be long before it is moved.

1. Saint has said he is planning to remodel the website. This may get pushed out a bit with the new project coming up. (Top Secret For Now)

2. Well... The page isn't untitled. Probably a bug in Mozilla. Every page within the Message Board has a title.

3. About the Mast being smaller.... See item 1.

4. Again, Mozilla bug. Works in IE. Which, btw, is used by about 97% of the users. Netscape users seem to be moving to Mozilla.

8 + 8: "The forums below belong to other web sites and are not hosted by BYOAC." (+ the chat room...). Since the second 8 are closer to the message, they seem easier to "scan".

Mind you I am *not* complaining. Just offering a couple observations.
