Ok so some fool of a friend of mine thinks I'm a PC guru because I know some basics. They put a minidisk in one of those slot-type cd-rom drives that specifically tell you NOT to and of course now they want help in getting it out. Anyone got experience with this one? If it wasn't also their kid's PC I wouldn't bother but I got a soft spot for kids, even when their parents are dummies, so I wanna help if I can.
Thanks in advance. ARCADIAC!

A minidisc

or a 3" cd?

Either one is bad news.

Open the drive up, of course.

I would take the drive out and take the cover off and see what you can do. If it gets screwed up newegg has new drives for less than $20.

yeah, you're definitely going to have to take that drive apart to get that disc out. Take the drive out and remove the top cover.
I am assuming its a mini-CDr or 3" CD since you'd have to JAM in a minidisc which would probably trash the drive heh.

Uh oh. I hope it wasn't one of MY games! ;D
