Title: Original Gameboy Backlight
Post by: SirPeale on February 05, 2005, 10:33:11 am
Has anyone ever attempted to put a backlight in one, or know of one?

The old-school, big, original Gameboy? Not that I know of. I know Nintendo made (in japan) a Gameboy Pocket with a couple LEDs called the Gameboy Light, and nothing until the SP.

I don't imagine it would be too hard to wire up an LED or two. Or maybe modify a GameBoy Advance Afterburner light.

Yah, I was talking *original*.  Haven't actually cracked mine open yet to see what to look at.

Yeah i would be interested in trying to do this also. I was going to try and open up my gba  and put some sort of light in there similar to a afterburner but I think I should probably try it on the older one first. Anyone Know where to get a afterburner besides ebay or how to make one?

Hell no!  Unless you feel like getting ripped off, never buy anything from Buy Rite (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller3699.html).

Wow....those are some low, LOW ratings!

Neat looking product, though!
