Anyone seen one of these in action?
http://www.arcadeshop.com/multi-pcb/multi-pcb.htm
Sounds interesting but I want to know more about how it works; including the use of the extra sound files MAME requires for some of these games (Invaders, DK Jr. etc.). I emailed them and got a terse reply that all the information I needed was on the website. Hmm... I'm having a hard time believing that a 5"x5" PCB could do the job of all these different boards and have acurate results. It would make for a simple game cab for friends who aren't computer inclined.

sinistar, in joystick format. blasphemy!
Is it me or does how a trackball get handled seem odd.
I wish they'd show screenshots of the menu. There isn't that much info on the site.

My buddy just received the Multi-Williams board yesterday. Boy that board is small----only 4-1/2" square! Haven't tried it yet, but later today he's picking up a Williams cabinet.
Noticed that most of the chips on the board have all markings actually ground/sanded off so they can't be identified.

Very interesting. Protecting their investment. Seems to me they're skating pretty close to the edge legally by setting it up for specific roms. Anyone know if the Williams board is a licensed product?

There are no markings on the Multi-Williams board except for the word JAMMA by the edge connector. All of the components (including chips) on this board are the latest surface mount.

Here's the other Multi game board supplier:

I would avoid this thing. The quality can't be close to mame on a pc considering the hardware it's running on. If it is MAME or based on mame then it's a serious violation of the mame license. Even if it's not mame the profits go to a notorious rom horder. There are at least 4 games that are only known to exist in his collection.
