Title: No context menu "mount image" from alcohol 120%
Post by: crashwg on February 04, 2005, 02:57:06 pm
So I've got alcohol 120% on my computer.  I've been using it for a few months now and was enjoying the "Mount Image" that appears in context menus when I right click on image files in windows explorer but now all of a sudden it's not there anymore...

I'm pretty sure it happened because of my installing of Nero 6.whatever since I haven't changed anything else image file related in a long while.

I've tried uninstalling both Nero and Alcohol and installing them again and even installing Alcohol by itself but it's a no-go, I can't get the option back!  It's not in any of the options in Alcohol, at least I can't find it!

In Alcohol 120%, the option is on Options/Virtual Drive/Shell Extension and check the ones you want mountable by right-click

Cheers!

Already had them all checked.  ;)

Anyone else?

Hmm... have you tried removing all of the entries in that menu and adding them all back again after restarting?

I think Nero has some find of image mounting utility installed by default with it as well. Is it disabled in the control panel?

Are you sure you have the latest version of Alcohol and Nero?

Other than trying to create an action via the right-click context menu to mount and one to unmount the images, I don't know if there is a way to fix this.
I do a lot of tech support and haven't come across this problem...

You may want to try Daemon tools or head on ever to Alcohol's support forums
