Title: Q: Such thing as a small 7" or so Screen to connect to pc??

Looking to make a jukebox and need a small screen for it.....like a 7" or something sort of like those car lcds.. do they make one that is small/flat and can be connected to a pc?? how do those lcd car ones conenct????
anyone have any idea where to get em?

A buddy of mine has one of the 7" ones from these guys (http://www.allcam.biz/products/car_monitor.html) and I helped him install it. It uses a standard VGA connector.

I had a 9 inch CRT....it would of been pretty tiny if I removed the case from it.  How much was that Car LCD?

The one I have uses RCA jacks for A/V in.

a friend of mine has an htpc ( home theatre pc) and his remote control for it is one of these 8" lcd touchscreens http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7950295197&category=38650
run with an mini itx 200 mhz  it looks an works amazing, i'm thinking about buying one for my jukebox project (wife allowing funds willing)
it uses a regular svga cable to hook up

Yea I am after one for my jukebox project.. I have a pc all ready just need a screen...I can get a 15" flat screen/flat panel for around $230 CAN so i would hope to find a 7" for less....

Never thought of  a touch sceen one.. thats an idea.. no need for buttons then!!

Also after some buttons...arrows, numbers etc that I could wire to an ipac any ideas??

that would be great.

A touchscreen remote for your jukebox.  Just throw the PC under the bar and have the Touchscreen Remote out so you could play what songs you wanted.  Small and compact. I like that.  I wonder if it would work.   If you could have it displaying Jukebox software on the remote.

Yea it is..I wonder if the remote would work for mp3 play???? Its too bad I cant afford it right now  :(
