Himuragames doesnt have any?
Anyone know the maximum thickness for those buttons anyway?
-
If you ask rod at Himura games nicely, i'm sure he'll be able to special order you some, but it might take a while.
Also, his computer's bust at the mo', but it should be sorted by next week.
I don't know the maximum thickness of the buttons, but you might be able to find out on Sanwas site (http://www.sanwa-d.co.jp/parts_menu.htm), it helps if you translate the page ;D.
Good luck.

what are you guys talkin about? Sanwa button? whats that?
-
Sanwa is a japanese manufacturer. And their buttons are found in alot of japanese cabinets. They're very common with shoot 'em up and fighting game fans, mainly because of the fact it has no springs to push the button back up (it uses the spring in the microswitch itself), so after loads of button pressing, your fingers don't get as tired.

would removing the spring from a regular happs button feel similar.. I've never even thought of trying that..

I just tried that
now it only uses the microswitch's spring to pop it back..
it definately made the button lighter to press so I'm definately going to do this with my competition stick.. but it's still not as light as a Sanwa I think.. the microswitch red-button is actually a lil stiff
the springless button is definately a little looser but probably a lot better

i never get tired on my happs buttons.. dunno what the big rage over the light press buttons are, but i really hate those sanwa buttons.. o_O

Yeah, it does seem to be one of those "you either love it or hate it" kinda things. I've even heard people say that sanwa buttons and joysticks feel like broken happs stuff ???. Crazy!
