Title: Wire length for CP?
Post by: Taborious on February 02, 2005, 04:16:50 pm
I am working on my first cab and I wanted to place the control buttons (shutdown, pause, exit, config, etc...) on the front next to the TV. But for my design this is about 3-4 feet from the encoder. Not knowing much about voltage degredation over distances, I know that the voltage used is low I just don't know what distance I will start to see issues. I'm using an IPac4, any ideas???

Ss long as you're not using multiple reels of wire to run to the buttons, you'll be fine.

you will have no problem with 3 or 4 feet... you wouldn't have problems over 30 or 40 feet..... :)
