Title: Ultrimarc S video Question Help
Post by: gumby510 on February 02, 2005, 04:05:19 pm
Today I just got my video card from ultrimarc in the mail. On the website the picture of the card has an S video connector. The one I got in the mail is like a tiny plug in RCA style. Below it on the metal plate it says S-Video. I'm using a TV right now for MAME until I can save for a arcade monitor, thats why I got the Ultrimarc card so I would have it when i get my new monitor. Any way to hook up the s video to this card? I'm way confused now Any help would be sweet

Thanks

Lost in mame land

If you are in the usa, I have a older 7000 series avga that I can trade you for your 9200..

 ;)

(The old cards have it, not the new ones. I just looked at my 9200 based one and yes it's composite out, but the 7000 series one in my hand has svideo.)

According to Andy in that thread, they're both actually composite output, they just have different jacks.  So since you're not going to get s-video quality output either way, I'd just use an RCA cable.  Or, if the TV you're using has no RCA/Composite input, I'd pick up a cheap adapter from the dollar store.
