I just picked up two Extra Bases II cabinets.

Looks like a conversion game. I could be wrong.

Probably shouldn't. 1980... http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=7738
Complete and working?
Tough call man! It's not a common machine.
-
I'm still a n00b and don't know if I'll ever leave that status, but why don't you MAME one and restore one?? Seems like the best of both worlds to me..
-
thats a really nice wide CP...looks prime for MAMEing. i never even heard of the damn game, its not like its a galaga youre mameing. i say do it

Yeah, but Galaga is a common (very) game, and I've never even heard of this. I had to check Mame to see what it was about.
Those cabinets are almost certainly dedicated.
*shrug* who can say. Are they working?
-
If you don't like the game, why restore it? ???
Don't convert them if they work, but if they're dead (and no one will trade you a better cab for them) go to town.
-
Put one up on eBay and see what kind of interest there is.
If nobody wants it, then I guess you're free to MAME away.
-
I agree with the MAME one and restore the other. The thing is you need to find out the rarity, if they are the only 2 dedicated cabs left in the world then you're gonna get some serious smackdown if you MAME even one.
-
THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES !!!
I only own one cabinet. (The other two are for two friends.) They are currently non-working, but have all the pieces. I have not started trouble shooting yet to see what the problems actually are. The an leaning towards the MAME IT option, but will do some research to make sure these are not the only two left in the world. ;D

Sell it to someone who cares. (And get the other cab to them as well).
This guy has the cocktail version for sale at $400:

I thought the game looked really cool. But then I did a search on ebay for completed auctions and they had one. It sold for a wopping 10.50. I can't link, because you have to be logged in with a user account and I'm not linking that.
Edit: That auction was for a non-working (Although a screenshot of the monitor had part of the field visible.) Thought I'd read the original thread starter's were also fixer-uppers. Oops.

Who died and made RayB the "MameGod" ?!?!?
Don't you know?
And it's Arcade God, not MameGod.
Now bow!

This is just my personal opinion here, but I can't stand sports games of any kind. If I owned that cab non working I'd MAME the suckah. :)
