Has anyone ever built the twin sticks for dreamcast (mainly for Virtua On)? If you don't know what I'm talking about, see the hardware review link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated especially because those sticks sell for around $100 and hard to find any lower.

I've never made twin-sticks but I'd just like to let people know that awhile back sega released Virtua On for the PC. It wasn't a very wide-spread release but I did manage to snag a copy of it. I also have Last Bronx which plays really well with my cp. If anyone is interested drop me an email.

Building your own twin sticks from hacked DC pads was discussed at length on this msg board a long time ago (I can't remember if it was last summer, or the summer before that). But I do remember it was before Planetjay Upgraded us to this new php/mysql driven msg board.
The outcome of the discussion was that you needed to create a custom circuit to allow the dreamcast pad to mimick all the directional combinations of the real twinsticks. Somone was going to make it, but we never herd back (he probably went insane ;D). I also believe it wasn't going to be 100% accurate (I think there was some movements that couldn't be duplicated by the dc buttons).

BTW- There is a new version of VO on its way to the PS2. The analog sticks of the ps2 make it easy to immitate the twin sticks.
