I'm a total newbie to this so please forgive the question if it seems obvious or redundant to other threads. I just got a Wells Gardner 25k7191 Monitor off of Ebay. I have ordered an isolation transformer from Happs so I can power it up. What I don't know is where to hook the video connections that will go to my ArcadeVGA card.
I have posted a pic below. I have circled where I assume the connections go. The monitor did not come with a cable or Molex connector for these pins.
If this is where the video connections go, where can I get the proper connector (and which connector specifically do I need) for it and what is the pinout diagram for R/G/B/ Hsync/ Vsync and whatever else I need to hook up.
I will be using a LightGun (if it ever gets here) so it is my understanding that I have to keep Hsync and Vsync separate???
Basically - how do I hook up an ArcadeVGA card to what you see in the picture?

ok, from left to right it goes R,G,B, ground, +vert sync, +horiz sync, ground, -vert sync, -horiz sync. To attach to an arcadevga you have to match the pinout from the card to those pins--red line to red , green to green etc (and no this does not mean colour of wire on the monitor cable--you'd be surprised how many people ask me that) I believe ultimarc sells a ready made break out cable just for this purpose.

Thank you very much. Can you recommend the type of connector to attach to the pin header?
-
Isn't that funny--I know what it is and where to get them but not what its properly called--its a white plug about so big (holds fingers part) with 10 holes in it ;D

Molex female .156 flat wafer connector, 10 position, "KK" series. Get them at Mouser Electronics (www.mouser.com) as their stock number 538-09-50-7101 (56 cents) and the pin terminals (crimp on) as # 538-08-50-0108 (6 cents each).

damn ken--you are walking encyclopedia of monitor knowlege--awesome! ;D
-
For those that have monitors that use seperate 6 and 3 pin connectors, use Mouser # 538-09-50-7061 (6 pin) and 538-09-50-7031 (3 pin).

Thank you, Ken. I have read many of your posts and am very glad that you are a part of this message board.
My next question will probably seem absurd, but I am not an electrician. The monitor's power cord has a white wire and a black wire. Which one goes to which connection on the isolation transformer? Also, I assume I need to wire a 2 prong electric cable to the other side of the transformer? Which contact goes to the wider blade wire and which contact goes to the thinner blade wire?
Thanks in advance for your help. My 3 goals here are
1.) not to fry myself,
2.) not to fry the montor, and
3.) after successfully reaching goals 1 & 2 to have the monitor actually display a picture.
