Title: What should I do with an old laptop?... Any Suggetions?

What should I do with this old laptop I have?   It is a four-year old (I think) Toshiba that is now just too much of a mess to deal with.  They have replaced the mobo twice, the hard-drive once, now the dvd/cd-rw combo drive won't read anything, and its missing three keys (it was my dad's, so he got all of the repairs done, and probably payed more than the laptop was worth...but we originally got it for free!).   I was thinking if I could get the dvd/cd-rw to work, I could use it for a linux comp, or I could make a Mame bartop (already building a full-size).  What else could I make from it?  Thanks
