Title: Multiple horizontal lines & washed out screen

I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus73 monitor which I've owned for just over 4 yrs. A sudden fault appeared resulting in washed out colours and multiple fine horizontal lines which slope slightly upwards to the right of the screen.
My question is then, is there any way that this can be repaired?

when i have a busted pc monitor--i search the google groups for the monitor name--you are not usually the first to have the problem and you can get a good idea of whats wrong from other people's experiences.  I just fixed a viesonic 19" with no green based on some obscure posted made in 2001

The newsgroup sci.electronics.repair is an excellent source of repair information for that type of monitor.
