i just picked up a new reunion stick off ebay and have a question. the shaft is roughly 3/8" and the hole in the dust washer is more like 9/16". is this normal? if so, it doesn't seem very effective.
on all the other joysticks i've got have the dust washer fits much closer (wicos and t-sticks).
thanks

I've got several of the sticks I bought from Bob Roberts at least a year ago. They have the same issue so I'd consider it normal.

well i guess that's good that it's normal but i still don't like it.
thanks jody
has anyone had any issues w/ the oversized dust washer? is there another one i could substitute for that would fit better? anybody made their own who would like to share how they did it?

I can't remember he managed to get some shaft covers or not but if Randy has some that come with his Versa-Ball Tops then they should fit the pacman reunion shaft perfectly.

It's normal. I noticed that the ones fitted to the Ms Pacman/Galaga machines have the same problem.
As far as I know the reunion stick is just a 4 way Happ Super base (actually made by Industrias Lorenzo) fitted with a custom handle made by someone other than IL.
I know that IL don't manufacture the ball top handles because I asked them.
The reunion sticks come with a standard Happ/IL washer but they really need a smaller washer to match the narrower diameter of the ball top handle's shaft.

Betson sells a similar stick, maybe they have appropriate size washers..

Nope, look Here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,24743.msg204199.html#msg204199).
That's a pic of the Betson stick I'm thinking of. Looks like the washer is loose on it as well.
