Title: Advance mame video setting?
Post by: Popcorrin on January 26, 2005, 02:55:49 pm
I am using advance mame .62 with a pc monitor and I was wondering if there was a way to force advance mame to use a resolution double of the original on all of the games.  The way I have to do it now is start the game and then change to the resolution I like and then choose save for games of that resolution.  Thanks in advance.

yea sure lets say...

your video mode that you want all the games..

device_video_modeline WHATEVER_YOU_NAMED_IT 7.03423 320 360 408 448 240 258 262 286 -hsync -vsync

If you want all the horizontal games to use this, then

            Horizontal/display_mode WHATEVER_YOU_NAMED_IT

if you desire only Vertical then

             Vertical/display_mode WHATEVER_YOU_NAMED_IT

obviously if you want all, then just have both lines in there.

Wouldn't that set all the games to the exact same resolution?  I want the resolution to be double of the original game for each game.  That way the game is displayed properly and I can utilize the scale 2x effect.
