For anyone looking for speakers for your cab, CC is running a sale this week on the Creative Labs Inspire 2.1 speakers. These are normally 49.99, on sale (after rebates) for 29.99. I have these in my cab and they are very good speakers in my opinion. For 29.99 you can't beat it (think I'll buy a pair & put them in the closet for my next build! 'Honey...what are these for?' ;)
CC is also selling all of the classic all-in-one joysticks (Namco, Frogger etc.) for 50% off (guess they didn't sell as many as they hoped over the holidays). I think I'll grab one of those too for my mini-cab project. The wife is gonna love it ('but baby - it was on sale!'). I know it's not a pile o'money, but if you were thinking about it now would be the time to grab one.

So what's 50% off their regularly inflated price come to?
Edit:

Not too bad!

Yeah, I know - more of a convenience for me since I work across the street from one. I spend many a lunch break cruising the aisles. Checked out a Toshiba multimedia projector today, very cool. I like the 9ft screen. I think I need that!
I bought the Ms Pac 5-in-1 for $10 at lunch. Not bad! Turns out, as far as I could tell, that only the Ms Pac and Frogger were 50% off. I'll put this away until I'm ready to build my mini mame.

I guess I'm the designated spokesman for Creative Labs on BYOAC.

They're my favorite speakers for cabinets too, but I hate rebates.
-
I also have these speakers in my cab. I really, really like them. They were worth every penny of the $48 I paid 6 months ago.
Mail in rebates mean nothing to me. I've had no luck with them and consider them a scam. I price things as they are before the rebate. If I ever get a rebate check, I'll consider it a bonus.

Damn straight! They ROCK! (and for $20, you CAN'T beat it).

You must be doing something wrong. I've sent away for tons of rebates, and have received them every time. They're a great way to get a great deal.

I don't want to get into a rebate argument. The point was that these speakers rock at the full price. Really rock at the rebate price.
-
Speakers = good
Rebates = bad
I got mine for $40 at Fry's without a rebate. I'd rather do that than get them for $20 with a rebate.

Sounds like a decent deal, but I'm not buying anything from ccircuit city.

Good, cuz it's circuit city having the sale, not ccircuit city. ;)

Oh, well I won't shop there either.

Ordered, thanks!

Looks like these are on sale again. :D $29.99 after mail-in rebates.
