Title: jamma std help
Post by: darkmavis on January 23, 2005, 10:24:06 am
well im stumped! i have a tennage mutant here turtles cab (4 player). the problem i have is the start buttons, after reading the manual, it conflicts itself by saying u and 17 (std p1 and p2 start, i think? that right?)  are not used. but in the cchemeatic is shows em  wired to the said jamma points.  now this is possible because over on the left hand side there is a quattro4  box that all the starts run through,  even with a tmnt pcb i cant seem to start games. im assuming i need to sort our the quattro4 but cant find any info on it, any help guys? can i just rewire p1 and p2 start to the corect jamma std? also when you insert coins i get the lights to flash, but whne i press the buttons nothing happens.  im at a loss here doods!

I'm lost.  What's a "quattro4 box".  Isn't it a car made by Audi.

I can't help with the pinout of the board, but here's the JAMMA layout (http://www.pealefamily.net/tech/mame/jamma.html).

I searched google for tmnt jamma wiring (http://www.google.com/search?q=tmnt+jamma+wiring) and found this page.  Maybe it will help...

No clue.  Is there any other writing on the device?  Part numbers, manufacturer name, etc...?

What are all the inputs and outputs?  Maybe someone here can figure out what it does.

I'm guessing that it might have has something to do with a bill acceptor or card reader or something like that.  Did this cabinet ever have one?

It appears to be an optional interface to a Mars brand electronic coin acceptor & bill acceptor.
